Today I had a presentation about GeoParticipation and Community Mapping at University of Iceland, as a part of my research stay at Department of Geography and Tourism.
Similar to my stay in Trondheim, now I have the opportunity to realize project titled Participatory GIS on Iceland – Teachers mobility, financed through the EEA and Norway Grants. The main idea is to focus on increasing my capacity and sharing best practices in the areas of Participatory Geoinformatics (PGIS). I am here to explore the possibilities of participatory approaches in GIS and its use for local activities/development. Continue reading
