Call for papers – special issue of the Cartographic Journal on Participatory GIS

It is not very often, when participatory GIS or community mapping have its own special issue, therefore I believe this is a right time to showcase your research in the Cartographic Journal. The call is for papers that will appear in a special issue of the Cartographic Journal. GIS in development cooperation – Teachers mobility

Past three weeks I had the opportunity to realize project titled  GIS in development cooperation – Teachers mobility, financed through the Norway Grants. The planned mobility was focused on increasing my capacity as well as sharing best practices in the areas of Geoinformatics (GIS) and Development Studies. Both me as well as hosting institute (NTNU Trondheim) are active in fields of Geography, Geoinformatics and Development Studies. Especially the combination of GIScience and Development Studies is very rare and therefore we all saw quite a lot of potential in starting the cooperation.  Continue reading
